DESCRIPTION:Faculty Intro: Sean Weiss\, Assistant Professor\n\nOlalekan 
 Jeyifous earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University. As
  visual artist\, he has exhibited artwork at the Studio Museum in Harle
 m\, the Museum of Modern Art\, the Vitra Design Museum\, and the Gugge
 nheim in Bilbao\, Spain.  \n\nJeyifous is recipient of numerous grants 
 for his artwork from the New York Foundation of the Arts\, the New York S
 tate Council on the Arts\, and the Brooklyn Arts Council. He has recently
  completed artist residencies with the Headlands Center for the Arts\, Bem
 is Center for Contemporary Arts\, the Drawing Center’s Open Sessions pro
 gram\, and a Wilder Green Fellow at the MacDowell Colony.\n\nIn addition t
 o his extensive exhibition history\, Jeyifous has spent over a decade cr
 eating large-scale artwork for a variety of public spaces. He created awar
 d-winning installations for Starbucks located in the Barclays Arena in Br
 ooklyn and their Flagship store in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Mo
 st recently\, Jeyifous has completed commissions for the Durham SmART 
 Vision Plan\, the Opa-Locka Community Development Corporation\, a 50ft-t
 all sculpture for the 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival\, and
  four large sculptures for Public Square in downtown Cleveland\, OH. \n
 \n \n\nSelected Bibliography\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAll lectures are free\, open t
 o the public\, and held at 5:30 pm in the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School 
 of Architecture Sciame Auditorium. Continuing Education Credit for registe
