DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nDr. María Fullaondo is practicing architect and ac
 ademic currently holding a Senior Lecturer position at Monash University i
 n Melbourne\, Australia.  She has extensive  international experienc
 e in architecture education in various universities. Her research\, creati
 ve work\, and teaching are very much interweaved\, blurring the boundaries
  between activities and outputs. She has been working for nearly twenty-fi
 ve years at the intersections of architecture\, urban design\, art\, visua
 l communication\, and media. Her PhD on the history of modern architecture
  through the lenses of the Museum of Modern Art was awarded the First Priz
 e in the most prestigious award in Spain for an architectural thesis\, res
 ulting in its publication as the book\, Casas en el Jardín del MOMA
 : La Consolidación de un Museo. Her major fields of research are drawin
 g\, experimental modes of criticism\, and methodologies that are directly 
 related to the processes of design and creation. Her book\, The Drawin
 g Bazaar (2015) provides a new perspective on the meaning and scope of t
 he term ‘drawing’ and its impact on the education and performance of c
 ontemporary architects.  The Journal of Architectural Education (201
 8) published her most recent investigations presenting her ongoing commitm
 ent to research-led teaching and innovative pedagogical research. \n\nAdd
 itionally\, Fullaondo is a Visiting Professor at the Spitzer School of Arc
 hitecture this semester.\n\nIntroduction by Assistant Professor\, Frank Me
 lendez\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAll lectures are free\, open to the public\, and held
  in the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture Sciame Auditorium.
