 s 4th annual Rising Urbanist conference. This year our students are presen
 ting Uncovering NYC\, a ground-breaking video-conference format tailored f
 or 2021.\n\nEvery place has a story. A legacy derived from the geology\, f
 lora\, and fauna which is braided into the history of humans and their alt
 erations on the land. As Landscape Architects we are charged with uncoveri
 ng these stories in order to design a future that weaves together the less
 ons of the past\, the people of the present\, and the hope that in the fut
 ure we lift the voices of the communities we design for and stop erasing t
 hem.\n\nIn this series we will speak to experts and professionals around N
 ew York City to reveal the erased stories reflected in our landscape.\n\nW
 hat natural systems have been buried? Where have the non-human fauna gone?
  How do we promote equality through landscape? Who is telling the story?\n
