 n\n\nThe seminar runs in tandem with the core Urban Design Lab studio\, wh
 ich is focused on the Vishwamitri River in India\, near the city of Vadoda
 ra. The studio is aligned with the Designing Resilience Global (DRG) 2026 
 framework\, and the lecture will focus on the "connective tissue" that mak
 es urban environments actually function over time\, bridging the gap betwe
 en visionary master planning and the practical realities of city and build
 ing.\n\nThis lecture will explore urban design and resilience strategies\,
  drawing from transformative work at SOM and distinguished professional ex
 perience.\n\nAndrew Leung is an Associate Principal and Urban Designer wit
 h SOM’s City Design Practice in New York. He has contributed to planning
  projects worldwide\, including urban revitalization efforts in North Amer
 ica for institutional\, government\, and non-profit clients\, as well as i
 nternational districts and cities in the Middle East.\n\nNotably\, he led 
 the urban design and site development of The New York Climate Exchange cam
 pus on Governors Island—an international hub for climate solutions with 
 ambitious net-zero goals for energy\, water\, and waste.\n\nHe is also act
 ive in New York City civic engagement\, working with Chinatown communities
  on post-pandemic revitalization and serving as a fellow with the Urban De
 sign Forum’s ReWire program.\n\nHe holds a Master’s of Architecture an
 d Urban Design from Columbia GSAPP and a Bachelor’s of Architecture from
