SUMMARY:MS Architecture Info Session
DESCRIPTION:\n\nLearn about the Spitzer School's Master of Science in Archi
 tecture program\, which is directed at students who already hold a profess
 ional degree in architecture and who wish to deepen their design abilities
  and expand their knowledge of contemporary theory\, social practice\, tec
 hnology\, and environmental systems. This program\, designed for advanced 
 students from different parts of the world\, also affords a supportive fac
 ulty and advisory staff that connects students to resources within New Yor
 k City and beyond. This session will include a welcome by Interim Dean Mar
 ta Gutman\, a program overview by Professor Nandini Bagchee\, and a discus
 sion with Professors Ahu Aydogan and Zihao Zhang and alumni Kauser Dahegam
 ia '20 and Stephanie Salazar '18. There will be ample time for questions!\
 n\nWithin the curricular framework\, students can choose from a number of 
 elective courses and pursue independent coursework. Open-ended and flexibl
 e in many respects\, the program does have certain priorities: interdiscip
 linarity\, the city as a learning lab\, experimental learning\, and social
  engagement.\n\nSpitzer School grad programs share a teaching\, research\,
  and design environment known as the unit system. Within year-long\, team-
 taught\, vertically integrated design units\, students and professors work
  together to define questions and propose design solutions. Just like in t
 he professions\, students synthesize diverse skills and subject areas into
