 “Healing Work within Community: Aesthetics and Poetics of Survival.”\n
 Curated by anthropologist Vyjayanthi Rao\, a co-teacher of Unit 25 along w
 ith architect Nandini Bagchee\, this talk is part of a year-long collabora
 tion between Unit 25 and the Queens Museum’s Year of Uncertainty (YoU) p
 rogram.\nThe event spotlights the practices of Raúl Cárdenas Osuna\, fou
 nder of the artist collective Torolab\, and Guadaulpe Maravilla\, a visual
  artist\, choreographer\, and healer.\nBoth Cárdenas\, a native of Tijuan
 a\, Mexico\, where Torolab was founded\, and Maravilla\, who arrived to Ne
 w York as an undocumented child fleeing the Salvadoran Civil War\, have cr
 afted transdisciplinary practices that respond to and transform trauma and
  violence using collective\, artistic\, spatial\, and performative methods
 .\nTheir presentations will be followed by a conversation and Q&amp\;A\; t
 he entire program will be presented in Spanish with Spanish-English interp
 retation services.
