 r this Zoom event.\n\nRaúl Cárdenas Osuna is the founder of Torolab (Tij
 uana\, Mexico)\, an artist collective\, workshop and laboratory of context
 ual studies that identifies situations or phenomena of interest for resear
 ch\, basing the studies in the realm of lifestyles to better grasp the ide
 a of quality of life. Their work has been shown at MoMA\, New York City\; 
 Louisiana Museum of Modern Art\, Denmark\; Moderna Museet\, Stockholm\; MC
 A Australia\; Havana\, Liverpool\, Lyon\, and Venice Biennials\; and has r
 eceived awards by the Rockefeller Foundation and Harvard’s Cultural Agen
 ts Initiative\, among others. In 2011\, Cárdenas Osuna founded and direct
 ed the Digital and Creative axis for the Metropolitan Strategic Plan of Ti
 juana-Rosarito-Tecate\; and was named Person of the Year by Tijuana’s ne
 wspaper Frontera. Cárdenas Osuna has been an advisor for Tijuana’s gove
 rnment on sustainable city development and social innovation. He currently
  directs the program of the Transborder Farmlab and the Applied Social Res
 earch and Innovation Lab (LiiSA) in Tijuana/Mexico City.\n\nSeries Theme -
 - Architectures  of Care: In a world riven by inequality and indifference
 \, care-work has become essential and highly visible in its capacity to cr
 eate more sustainable worlds. How can architecture support and nurture car
 e work and the values of cooperation and commoning that go with the recogn
 ition of care as an essential form of labor? Convened by Spitzer faculty C
 esare Birignani and Vyjayanthi Rao\, “Architectures of Care” explores 
 the notion of care and the ways in which architecture might contribute to 
 repairing built environments and social fabrics.\n\nSciame Lecture Series
