DESCRIPTION:Faculty Intro: Christian Volkmann\, Associate Professor\n\n&nbs
 p\;\n\nLynnette Widder (M.Arch\, Columbia University\, 1990\; Sc.D.\, ETHZ
 \, 2016) serves on the full-time faculty of the Masters of Sustainability 
 Management Masters Program at the Earth Institute\, Columbia University. P
 rior to joining the Earth Institute\, she was Associate Professor and Head
  of the Department of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design\; 
 she has also taught at the ETH Zurich\, Cornell University\, City College 
 of New York and Cranbrook Academy. She is the author of numerous articles 
 on architectural history and sustainable building\, and co-author of two b
 ooks\, Ira Rakatansky: As Modern as Tomorrow (William Stout\, 2010) and Ar
 chitecture Live Projects: Pedagogy into Practice (Taylor and Francis\, 201
 4). Her professional work with aardvarchitecture has been published in the
  US\, Europe\, China and Australia. From 1994 to 1998\, she was editor of 
 the bilingual architecture quarterly Daidalos. Her current research focuse
 s on sustainable building construction\; urban resource flows\; the materi
 al culture of building construction in post-war Germany\; and textile-rein
 forced adobe.\n\nSelected Bibliography: Fall 2017 Lecture Series: “Tran
