 ture featuring one of the inaugural Spitzer Fellows\, Jesse McCormick. Thi
 s event will be co-sponsored by the Graduate Architecture Club (GArC). Ple
 ase join us in rm. 107.\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\nJesse McCormick is a desi
 gner\, researcher\, writer and educator and one of the 2022/2023' Inaugura
 l Spitzer Research Fellows at the Spitzer School of Architecture\, where h
 e is studying Land Banks and Land Bank Practices. His work is concerned wi
 th value\, equity as well as the decommodification of architecture\, housi
 ng and property\, and the mechanisms that can achieve it in practice.\n\nH
 is research has been shown at The Istanbul Design Biennale\, The Oslo Arc
 hitecture Triennale\, The Non-Extractive Architecture Exhibition at the V
 -A-C Zattere\, Fundacion Cerezales Antonino y Cinia\, and Storefront for
  Art and Architecture among others. As a designer he has built work in th
 e United States and Mexico. He received a Master of Architecture from Col
 umbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation
  in 2018\, where he was awarded the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize\
 , and the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize.\n\n&nbsp\;
